The Hungarian Choral Castle opened its doors accompanied by the marked attention of the national and international choral life!

A series of greetings and the highly appreciated outstanding concert of the Budapest Monteverdi Choir and the Banchieri Singers made the Opening Ceremony of last Saturday memorable. Quoting the words by Ms Ágnes Bíró, the deputy head of the Public Cultural Department of the Hungarian Ministry of Education and Culture, the Hungarian Choral Castle is such a complex set of buildings suitable for artistic and public cultural activities which has never existed before at the service of the Hungarian choral life’s actors.

The castle offers outstanding opportunities and conditions to Hungarian and foreign choirs, conductors, musical experts and music pedagogues.
All these have been confirmed also by the attendance of excellent representatives both of the international choral scene as Mr Jeroen Schrijner, president of Europa Cantat and almost all boards members of Europa Cantat from all over Europe, Mr Michael Scheck, president of AGEC (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Europäischer Chorverbände) and further board members of AGEC, Ms Beáta Schanda, vice president of the International Music Council (IMC), Mr Michal Kostelny president and Ms Vilma Krauspeová vice president of the Association of Choirs in Slovakia (ASZS), Mr Aleksandar Vujic, president of the Choral Association of Serbia, and the heads and representatives of Hungarian and transborder music and artistic organisations, choirs, educational institutions.
